Subject: [Cohousing] homes for sale

Dear cohousing friends,
Our family has been pretty silent on this list.  Not due to waning interest,
but due to the fact that we fall into a stunned silence when confronted with
the biggest hurdle to realizing our cohousing dream:  selling our house.

In the meantime, there are a couple of houses for sale on the street that
runs parallel to ours, Oriole.  Here

the link to one of the houses, nice size, but price to match.  Maybe it's
not that high, but I think houses on our block typically cost less than
that.  I just took the little home tour and it's a pretty sweet little
house.  Our neighbor just told me that the house next to it is also for
sale, though there's no sign yet.  We saw the moving trucks last Saturday,
so things should be in motion soon.

Though houses on Oriole have backyards that meet up with those on Cardinal,
both of these houses are on the other side of the street.  Still....there is
a greater likelihood of turnover on that block than on ours.  The folks that
live here seem to be quite contentedly staying put.  Oriole seems to have a
more mobile population.

So that's just to chew on.

I'm sorry we've been so quiet lately--Paul and I were actually out of the country for the last nine days, and we had very limited internet access. There are several Forums posts that I want to reply to--please give me a few more days to catch up!
